Valley Head, Collinsville players All-Region

The Valley Head Tigers football team placed four players on the Class 1A, All Region 6 team. Two players were selected for the honorable mention team.
Senior Greg Blansit was chosen offensive player of the year.
The running back/receiver/return specialist gave Valley Head a scoring threat from anywhere on the field.
Blansit returned four kickoffs for touchdowns and carried the ball 106 times for 785 yards and nine more touchdowns. The senior standout also caught 13 passes for 265 yards. Two of those passes went for scores.
Offensive lineman Zack Dean, defensive end Ethan Crider and middle linebacker and middle linebacker Gerry Bradbury rounded out the first team selections.
Defensive backs Derrick McMahan and Levi Hulgan were chosen honorable mention.
The Collinsville Panthers placed nine members on the all-region team, four first team picks and five honorable mention picks.
Collinsville offensive lineman Ryan Chamblee, defensive end Justin Irvine and wide receivers Dustin Johnson and Sharrard Crawley made the first team.
Honorable mention picks were quarterback Tray Reed, running back Shon McElrath, defensive tackle Kenny Orr, offensive lineman Luis Perez and middle linebacker Jesse Chandler.
